The centenary wine company Ferreira Malaquias has launched a new website (www.ferreiramalaquias.pt), within the framework of the dynamics of updating the company’s image.
“This (new site) is part of a new project to renew the image of the company that already has more than 120 years in the wine market. We are very pleased with the result and we hope you are too”, the company announced in a statement.
Founded in 1896, Ferreira Malaquias is a family business. It has been present in the wine business for four generations and has always known to renew its commitment and dedication over its history, through a long-run vision.
It was founded by José Ferreira Malaquias, who was a successful wine merchant and exporter by the end of the 19th century, by selling batch wines from the Dão region.
In a recent past, Ferreira Malaquias fulfilled a vast investment plan, with the vision of presenting to the national and international markets, wines of quality and character, with different styles and absolute respect for the origin ‘terroir’. Today it has in its portfolio the most recognized wine regions of Portugal – Vinhos Verdes (Green Wines – Minho), Douro, Alentejo and Tejo – continuing its historic connection to the wines of the Dão region.
The year of 2013 was marked by the reinforcement of investment in oenology, with the entrance of a group of winemakers – who revolutionized with knowledge, detail and technology – all Ferreira Malaquias wines, an ultimate expression of all the art of building the best blends and reveal the personality of each region.
