The Associação Rota da Bairrada (Bairrada Route Association) has inaugurated on the beach of Vagueira, in Vagos, the Espaço Bairrada ‘Pop-up’ (Bairrada ‘Pop-up’ Venue) a place of promotion that combines the tourist offer with Bairrada’s wines and traditional products.
“The Bairrada Venues aim to promote the Bairrada Region by integrating the diversity of the touristic offer in the territory with the promotion of wines and sparkling wines, handicrafts, regional products, merchandising, books”, explains the Bairrada Route Association.
These venues also work as locarions to welcome tourists and the local population, with a personalized service and offering the region’s promotional material, where also the suggestion of tours, appointment of visits and other activities are made. They also offer a set of programs of educational and promotional activities in the territory, such as wine and local products, press conferences, thematic workshops, wine courses, among others that make the region more dynamic.
“We emphasize the new visiting programs’ offers that allow the visitor to choose and book a tour through Vagos ending with a wine tasting in the Bairrada Venue”, the Association further reveals.
In the end of 2006 the Bairrada Route was created with the purpose of organizing the offer of the Bairrada territory in an articulated and structured manner. Vagos is one of the associated municipalities of the Bairrada Route since the parishes of Covão do Lobo and Sosa are part of the delimited Bairrada region.
The Bairrada Pop-up Venue will be open until the end of August, every day from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm.
