The auction is already underway, it is online, and ends on December 17. It can be accessed at: https://www.leilosoc.com/lot/lot-details/3346371/o-major-sr-bacalhau/en. Património dos Pobres of the Parish of Ílhavo is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity created on the initiative of the Church’s Factory of the Divine Savior of Ílhavo, in 1959. It is an institution of canonical and non-profit character, which plays an active role in the support of family, childhood and youth, and elderly. To this end, it created Obra da Criança, a residential home that aims to ensure the protection, exercise of rights, integral development and the well-being of children and young people in danger. It is composed of two single-family houses, the girls’ house and the boys’ house, prepared to welcome 14 and 16 children and young people, respectively, between the ages of 0 and 18.
“By means of the resources we have, we propose ourselves on a daily basis to create conditions that allow us to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the children and young people we welcome, while providing balance, stability and security in this homely family atmosphere”, as it can be read on the website of Obra da Criança.
