SCC launches home drink delivery platform

SCC – Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas has just launched ‘Drinkies 360’, a new platform that allows you to order drinks online, in returnable glass bottles, “to receive them at the most convenient date and time and with the guarantee that the empty crates and bottles, after consumption, are collected to be reused”, informs the company. The beer, cider and water brands at the Central de Cervejas “thus reinforce their proximity to their consumers and provide a service that promotes sustainability with all the convenience”, the company added.
Those interested should access www.drinkies360.pt, create an account with personal data, select the order between the beers (Sagres, Bohemia and Heineken®), the waters (Luso and Castello) and the Cider (Bandida do Pomar) and schedule a date for delivery to the desired address.
Deliveries are made in the municipalities of Lisbon, Cascais and Oeiras, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. On Saturdays, deliveries will only be made in the morning and “all safety recommendations and DGS standards are complied with”. The collection of returnable packaging (crates and glass bottles) will take place when the next order is placed, thus ensuring that they return to the filling lines.
“The growing environmental concerns and the change in consumption habits brought about by the pandemic led us to create this innovative, more sustainable and convenient service so that our consumers can enjoy their favorite drinks without leaving home. It should be noted that a returnable bottle can be reused up to 40 times and we managed to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80% compared to single-use glass bottles. Add also that the glass of bottles at the end of their life is 100% recyclable”, highlights Nuno Pinto de Magalhães, director of Communication and Institutional Relations of the company.
