Since July 2019, Santos e Vale has been the official logistics operator of Arrozeiras Mundiarroz, a company belonging to the multinational group Ebro Foods, and holder of rice ‘Saludães’ and ‘Cigala’, says the carrier.
“In a dedicated logistics area of over 3000m2, this operation enhances Santos and Vale’s logistics business and strengthens the company’s position as a logistics operator for integrated services between logistics, distribution and transportation”, adds Santos and Vale.
Logistics has been a great investiment of Santos e Vale to complement the range of services offered to their customers and to be able to provide a true ‘One-Stop-Shop’ solution. “This area also includes promotional logistics that allows all the handling movements that are sometimes necessary to be done and that the clients do not have capacity, such as product bundles”, says the company.
About this new partnership, Joaquim Vale, company administrator says that the customer’s products are treated “from the moment we enter our logistics warehouse until their delivery anywhere in our country”. “We have the operation designed and integrated to respond quickly, efficiently and safely to all Mundiarroz orders”, he adds.
Santos e Vale recently opened two more logistics platforms, Castanheira do Ribatejo and Benavente, which are already operating at 100%, with operations of clients from various sectors of activity.
The company has five integrated logistics platforms and 17 more domestic distribution platforms in Portugal to ensure the stock, handling, shipping, collection and delivery of its customers products with maximum efficiency and total safety.
