This competition is promoted by CEPAAL – Centro de Estudos e Promoção do Azeite do Alentejo (Centre for the Study and Promotion of Alentejo Olive Oil) “and distinguishes the best olive oils produced in our country, being a great reference in the organoleptic analysis of Portuguese oils”, the company says in a statement.
The Arbequina olive variety from olive groves in the north of the Alentejo that was used at the beginning of the 2019/2020 marketing year, at an early ripening stage, “allowed us to achieve this olive oil with green and very fruity notes”, presents Est. Manuel da Silva Torrado.
