‘Moscatel de Setúbal 10 years VCL Rubrica’ from Venâncio da Costa Lima’s winery conquered its place this July among the best muscat in the world at the “Muscats du Monde” contest in France. In addition to this award, it was also elected to the ‘Top 10 Muscats du Monde’, says the winery.
This trophy joins the ‘Gran Oro’ medal in the ‘Selezione del Sindaco’ contest. In this range, were also awarded, at the beginning of the year, the ‘Moscatel Roxo VCL Rubrica’ and red wine ‘Reserve DO Palmela Venâncio da Costa Lima Rubrica’.
The name ‘VCL Rubrica’ underlines Venâncio da Costa Lima’s track record in producing quality wines and muscatel dating back to 1914. “With an image that highlights the founder’s photograph and signature, it encompasses a wide range of wines and muscatels designed especially for the HORECA market – catering and wine cellars”, informs the producer.
In addition to the Moscatel de Setúbal and Moscatel Roxo, it includes regional white, rosé and red wines and DOC reserve specially created to adapt to every moment of the meal for wine lovers in quality catering. The brand ‘Venâncio da Costa Lima – Rubrica’ is the result of a partnership between the producer of Setúbal Peninsula and the distributor ‘Wine Concept’.
Venâncio da Costa Lima is one of the oldest wineries in the Palmela region, beginning its activity in 1914. Still a family business, this winery is already in its fourth generation. As a producer of Table Wines, Certified Wines and Setúbal Moscatel, this company maintains its goal: to produce wines that are current and modern, but always display the profile and characteristics of a wine from this region. It was recognized as a producer of the ‘Best Muscat in the World’ in the contest ‘Muscats du Monde 2011’.
