Winner of the Mario Solinas International Gold Medal, Oliveira da Serra’s ‘Best Olive Oil in the World’ can now be purchased at the O’live store, located in Baixa de Lisboa, and at the brand’s wine press in Ferreira do Alentejo.
Produced in Portugal from carefully selected olives, ‘The Best Olive Oil in the World’ is a special and limited edition that took first place in the Mario Solinas Quality Award competition, organized by the International Olive Council, and which awards the quality of extra virgin olive oils, in which Oliveira da Serra was the winner in the Light Green Fruity category, explains a note released by the Portuguese brand.
“’The Best Olive Oil in the World’ offers olive oil lovers an intense and harmonious flavor, combining different varieties of olives, which results in a balanced and persistent product, with a very Portuguese taste”, he adds.
Oliveira da Serra’s olive oils are the result of a huge dedication of the brand to the quality of its products. The distinction of this olive oil in a contest of great international prestige reflects not only Oliveira da Serra’s commitment to always present the best olive oils, but also his constant commitment to development and innovation.
Oliveira da Serra is a trademark of Grupo Sovena, a 100% Portuguese family owned company.
It has 57 properties in four regions of Portugal totaling over 10,000 hectares. The poles are located in Ferreira do Alentejo, Campo Maior, Elvas and Aviz. The largest pole, Ferreira do Alentejo, has about 3,400 ha and is where the emblematic Lagar Oliveira da Serra is located, in Herdade do Marmelo. The Oliveira da Serra Lagar honors the Portuguese olive grove. In 2013, another mill was inaugurated in Avis, to respond to the increase in production of the company’s olive groves.
