The Portuguese seasoning brand Paladin is one of the official sponsors of the Lisbon festivities for the third consecutive year. The brand will be present in more than 20 street camps of the city, whit animation, music, chalenges and gift offers, said the company in a published note.
This year, between other surprises, the brand representation in the festivities will be reenforced by the “Farra Fanfarra” a band that with “Tudo ao Mollho” (Portuguese pun for sauce and all people being togheter) will sing the great successes of Marco Paulo, Quim Barreiros, Xutos e Pontapés and As Doce, among other artists.
The animation will be guaranteed in 8 festivities in Lisbon with multiple instruments and reinvented Portuguese popular music songs. The band will make a parade today at 19h from Alto da Bica till Portas do Sol in Alfama, also passing through Mercado da Ribeira in Rossio and Campo das Cebolas.
Paladin has initiated his partnership with the Festivities of Lisbon in 2016 and the success of the iniciative allowed both parties to repeat the experience.
“We were not expecting to be so welcomed in all the feastivities. People really show affection for the brand and welcomed us with open arms”, said Carlos Gonçalves, the responsable for the Mendes Gonçalves.
This year, for the third consecutive time, Paladin will provide funny games in “Rotas dos Desafios” (challenge routes in Portuguese). There will also be the “St. Antony’s Sermon to the Sardines” in which the participants will have to guess the names diferente songs, and the most brave ones will have to taste the piri-piri “Sacana Ai Ai”. There will be party in the Portuguese Festivities, for sure, said Carlos Gonçalves.
Iniciative of Social Responsability
This year the brand will offer fire extinguishers, sand buckets, and fire quenching blankets, as well as posting all the safety information to help preventing accidents.
“After 3 years speaking with the organization and witnessing the difficulties they had to ensure all the safety measures, this year we decided to provide the safety equipments and information to guarantee the safety of everybody”, said Carlos Gonçalves.
The reponsable of Mendes Gonçalves also said that the brand decided to turn this action in an appealing way to promote the piri-piri Sacana Ai Ai, saying that the product should bring a fire extinguisher as a coupled safety equipment.
Mendes Gonçalves is a family business based in Golegã since 1982, that employs more than 250 people dedicated to production of seasonings, vinegar and sauces. Amoung this products is the brand Paladin, relaunched in 2013 in Portugal and exported to more than 30 countries, with more than 60 varieties, some of hem adjusted to the countries were the brand is represented.
