Ferbar has just started the dried fruit range with the launch of reusable packaging.
The 180 gram units thus come with easy-open packaging to allow for better preservation of dried fruit after opening due to reusable closure.
The line includes a wide variety of nuts such as walnut, almond with or without skin, fig, sultana, hazelnut, apricot, among others.
Ferbar also presented novelties in the 100 gram sachets, namely pecan nut, raw cashew nuts, dried fruit fusion (which includes walnut, hazelnut, skinned almond, skinless almond, golden sultana, seedless raisin) , and the natur fusion (composed of walnut, hazelnut, cashew and skinless almond).
Recently the company announced they will now distribute the Brazilian brand ‘Garoto’ in Portugal as well as ‘Serenata do Amor’. Among other international products the company is responsible for distributing Belgian ‘Hamlet’ chocolates, assortments of Danish Jacobsens cookies and advent calendars.
Ferbar was born in Porto in 1971 with the ambition of bringing the best quality products to the Portuguese. The company started its activity as a distributor of food products and later integrated industrial production into its operation.
It is distinguished by its easter almonds and fruits. Also the marmalade and dried pickled vegetables that make up the table of the Portuguese, in Portugal and in the countries to which Ferbar products are exported.
In March 2019 the company was recognized for its effort and commitment to quality assurance and food safety of the products it places on the market, having been certified by IFS according to the IFS Wholesale standard with Higher Level classification.
