Ervideira presented its new wine collection in September: the limited collection “Oenologist’s Choice”. The wines are available in the brand’s website and are directed only to members of the Ervideira Club. The presentation of the “Oenologist’s Choice” coincided with the first anniversary of the company’s Wine Lounge.
These are premium wines located between ‘Conde D´Ervideira’ and ‘Private Selection’ as well as Viognier monocast and the Winter White. “We wanted to pamper our fans by allowing them to enjoy truly unique wines that they will hardly ever find and that will always be of a superior category,” said the Ervideira’s CEO, Duarte Leal da Costa.
Ervideira has been producing wine since 1880 when the Count D´Ervideira began wine production in the Évora region.
The average annual production of the Alentejo wine producer is around 800,000 bottles of wine obtained exclusively from grapes harvested in the 160 hectares of own vineyard, planted in lands of the Reguengos de Monsaraz and Vidigueira wine subregions. This secular wine company also exports to over 20 countries.
Viognier’s monocasta is characterized by its extreme and subtle aroma and is ‘born’ of schist soils where the Vidigueira vineyards are inserted, resulting in this amazing wine. Winter White was produced from the Viosinho and Antão Vaz varieties. Ervideira presents it as a full-bodied wine with a large structure capable of being taken with temperatures higher than normal whites.
