Ervideira has launched ‘Conde D’Ervideira – 2 Barricas’, which is considered by the company as the most luxurious wine in its premium range.
“Its production has been to gather, in the two best French oak barrels of 225 liters, the minimum quantity of wine to achieve a truly outstanding production”, the company stated in a press release.
This is an exclusive launch as only 300 bottles are available for purchase. “Creating a wine like Conde D’Ervideira – 2 Barricas is the dream of any producer. In these 300 bottles we gathered all our knowledge about the best characteristics of the 160 hectares of vineyards and wines of Ervideira”, says the executive director of Ervideira. Duarte Leal da Costa assumes that Ervideira has “the greatest pride in announcing that we have created a truly extraordinary wine, which will be produced in years, also these truly extraordinary, with each edition having different varieties, different bottle and a different box”.
It is in the 160 hectares of the Monte da Ribeira and Herdadinha estates that the Leal da Costa family says they have produced a “truly extraordinary premium wine”. Of the 300 bottles, about a hundred have already been sold to customers in China, Brazil, Luxembourg and, of course, in Portugal. Ervideira is one of the secular wine companies in Portugal, producing wine since 1880. It has 160 hectares of vineyards, distributed in the sub-regions of Vidigueira (130 hectares) and Reguengos de Monsaraz (30 hectares).
