Vidigal Wines has just launched on the market a rosé wine from the ‘Boa Noite Lisboa’ range, produced with grapes from a national red grape variety, Castelão, and another international one, Syrah.
“It is a crystalline wine, of a salmon pink color, with an intense and fresh aroma, where you can feel floral notes reminding rose petals, but also red fruit, a light candy and some mineral. It has a light and fresh taste, slightly silky”, presents the wine producer based in Cortes, Leiria.
The ‘Boa Noite Lisboa Rosé 2019’ has the right characteristics to be served as an aperitif, but it also accompanies salads, pizzas, shrimp cocktail, naturally-smoked seafood or boiled and grilled white fish. The Boa Noite Lisboa range, where this rosé wine has recently been integrated, also includes a white from the 2018 harvest, produced with grapes from the Arinto and Chardonnay grape varieties, and a red from the previous vintage, by Syrah and Touriga Nacional.
From this ‘Boa Noite Lisboa Rosé’, which now reaches the market, 10,000 bottles were produced, which can already be found in wine cellars and some national restaurants. In foreign markets, the range is being sold in countries such as Poland, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, France, Macau, Slovakia, Belgium, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, Russia and soon in Angola, Japan, China and Vietnam.
The ‘Boa Noite Lisboa’ concept includes Regional wines from Lisbon and intends to pay homage to the nightlife of the Portuguese capital, “made up of people who like to eat out things like “peixinhos-da-horta” (breaded green beans), codfish fritters, breaded green eggs, “Bulhão Pato” clams (with olive oil, lemon, garlic and fresh coriander), iscas com elas (pork liver stew with onion) or “Marrare” steak (with traditional portuguese butter sauce), presents Vidigal Wines.
“And it does not forget who receives and serves them, from the room and kitchen staff to the establishments’ owners, and who transports them, from taxi and Carris drivers to metro and suburban trains’ drivers. Everyone is included in a concept that honors a living city, also at night”, underlines the company.
