Sardine, fish stew and mackerel fillets are the first Brasmar products to receive the seal of the Portuguese Cardiology Foundation, an initiative that distinguishes food products that contribute to the health promotion of the Portuguese preventing the onset of cardiovascular diseases. In addition to this distinction Brasmar will benefit from specialized support from the Portuguese Cardiology Foundation in the development of new products.
“With this initiative, we intend to highlight the concern with the Portuguese food even more, which has always been reflected in our products”, stated Patrícia Matos, Marketing Director at Brasmar. “As a national leader in the frozen sea food industry, we believe we have increased responsibility in promoting a healthy lifestyle, which has become a key factor in establishing this partnership”, she added.
Brasmar joins the Portuguese Cardiology Foundation (Fundação Portuguesa de Cardiologia), which since 1979 has educated the Portuguese regarding the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases, the greatest cause of death at national and worldwide levels.
