The Monterosa Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced in Moncarapacho, in the Algarve, once again stood out at the highest international level, winning awards in New York in recent weeks.
The New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) is the largest and most prestigious international olive oil competition, with a renowned and demanding panel of judges from around the world. This year, 1,159 olive oils from 28 countries entered the competition, making it the most attended edition ever.
Monterosa Extra Virgin Olive Oil was once again distinguished with 3 medals, winning a gold medal for the monovarietal Monterosa Premium Picual and two silver medals for the monovarietal Monterosa Premium Maçanilha and the Monterosa Premium Selection, the latter a blend of varieties.
This is the ninth consecutive year that Monterosa olive oils have won awards in New York.
