The extra virgin olive oil ‘Monterosa’ produced in Moncarapacho, in the municipality of Olhão in Algarve is launching its new harvest this month.
“After a 2017 year with a harvest of extraordinary quantities, in 2018 we had a smaller production, but maintaining the level of quality to which the customers are used to. Exceptionally this year, a limited edition of the Frantoio variety – as single variety olive oil – was offered”, the producers stated.
This olive oil has unique organoleptic characteristics with notes of tropical fruits and a very interesting combination between sweet, bitter and spicy.
They are currently available for immediate delivery in 250ml, 500ml bottles and in a tasting kit with an assortment of five 20ml units: ‘Monterosa Premium Maçanilha’, ‘Monterosa Premium Picual’, ‘Monterosa Premium Selection’, ‘Monterosa Premium Frantoio’. Awards
It is recalled that ‘Monterosa’ extra virgin olive oil won gold and silver medals in Tokyo in Japan at the Olive Japan 2019 international competition in April of this year, with more than 700 olive oils from 22 countries.
This is the most prestigious international competition extra virgin olive oil in Asia and one of the most important in the world.
