During his visit to São Pedro do Sul on September 12, the Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral visited AVICASAL to launch the first stone of the Business Park in Pindelo dos Milagres.
The governor closely knew the company, which is the largest private employer in the county, with more than 250 employees and met with Antonio Isidoro and Manuel Silva, the company administrators.
“Soja de Portugal is proud to create employment opportunities in various parts of the country, while contributing to the growth of communities that are far from the big metropolis. In this way, we allow the population to settle in these municipalities. This has enabled us to grow sustainably with the local community in S. Pedro do Sul, where we have been present for more than 40 years through AVICASAL, not only because of the economic and social responsibility we have, but also because it is the county where directly and indirectly, the group generates more employment, “said António Isidoro.
Soja de Portugal is a business group of reference and excellence in the sector of the agro-food industry, which operates in the areas of animal nutrition, poultry meat, collection, treatment and valorization of animal by-products. Born in 1943, today it has some of the most important companies in the Portuguese agro-industrial sector, such as Sorgal, Avicasal and Savinor.
