The children left in the care of ‘A Casa do Caminho’ Association drew illustrations of the Children’s range that Arcadia launched on May 29 to celebrate World Children’s Day. “The institution – which has already protected 812 children at risk since its founding in 1988 – will benefit from 5% of the sales value of this range”, disclosed Arcadia.
Arcadia’s new Children Range is composed of four references: ‘Milk Chocolate Cars’ (Carros de Chocolate de Leite), ‘Milk Chocolate Bears’ (Ursos de Chocolate de Leite), ‘White Chocolate Bears’ (Ursos de Chocolate Branco) and the packaging ‘Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate Toys’ (Bonecos de Chocolate de Leite e Chocolate Branco). The Children’s Range will be available in all Arcadia stores, including the online store. “It is with great pride that we establish this protocol, trying to sensitize people to noble causes such as those of ‘A Casa do Caminho’ Association”, emphasized Francisco Bastos, Arcadia’s director.
In addition to the donations, the process of developing the Children’s Range gave the children the opportunity to visit the factory and participate in the production of candies and pastry from Arcadia. After these experiences, the children freely created illustrations of packaging and merchandising. “This was the first activity of a solidarity partnership that we want to last. We are very keen to continue to support the ‘A Casa do Caminho’ Association in its noble causes. It is a great step that the brand Arcadia is giving, in the manifestation of its social conscience”, refers Francisco Bastos.
As part of this solidarity partnership, Arcadia has also developed a reusable cotton bag with the illustrations made by the boys and girls who are in charge of this Association, which will be marketed for two euros. The brand aims not only to help the social cause of the Association ‘A Casa do Caminho’, but also to encourage waste reduction and reutilization.
